Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season and over the next week there are many fun activities for you and your family to partake in!  Here are a few that we think you may enjoy!

 

Thanksgiving Eve Party:  Main Street Live:  Wednesday eve from 5pm-12am at Historic Old Main Street in Bradenton.  Live music, food, drink and arts and crafts!  Free admission.

Thanksgiving Eve Siesta Key Village Turkey Trot Pub Crawl:  9pm Wednesday night at various pubs in Siesta Key Village.  This event has gained popularity and promises to be a fun night by all!

8th Annual Thanksgiving Morning Turkey Trot 5K:  The race begins at the Hyatt Regency, 1000 Blvd. of the Arts and jouney’s across the Ringling Bridge.  This fun, family friendly (strollers welcome) supports ALSO Youth who’s mission is to provide Advocacy, Leadership, Support, and Outreach to LGBTQIA youth and their allies.  To learn more and/or register:  https://www.active.com/sarasota-fl/running/distance-running-races/also-youth-8th-annual-turkey-trot-5k-2017


After your bellies are full of Turkey and all the fixin’s….you can enjoy the kick off to the holiday season in Sarasota, the Beaches & Beyond!

 

Holly Days and Mangrove Lights at Historic Spanish Point:  337 N. Tamiami Trail Osprey.  Come enjoy the opening night of this annual festival that highlights decorated homestead buildings and lite gardens.  Festive music will add to the ambiance!  The museum will be open until 8pm.  An event not to be missed!


Light Up Siesta Key Village Parade and Holiday Open House:  Starting at 5:30pm, this annual event includes tree lighting, Santa, live music and lots of other activities!  Ride the Breeze (free trolley) from Siesta Key Public Beach to the village!


The 38th Annual Venice Holiday Parade kicks off the holiday season at 7pm in Historic Downtown Venice.  This parade is one of the biggest on the Suncoast with over 3000 participants and 40,000 spectators!!  There will be pre-parade entertainment starting at 5:30pm in downtown Venice.
