What's Happening in Sarasota, the Beaches and Beyond! (April 8-9th)
The weekends remain full of amazing opportunities in Sarasota, the Beaches and Beyond! Here are some of our picks for things to do this weekend!
From 9:30-11:30 you can join in the Extravaganza Easter Egg Hunt at Greenbrook Adventure Park in Lakewood Ranch. The Easter Bunny will be there as well as face-painting, a petting zoo, balloon art, music, pony rides and so much more. The Hunt itself begin at 10:15 with over 12000 eggs spread across the field!!! Also taking place Saturday is the DeSoto Heritage Bottle Boat Festival. This events features homemade model boats made out of all kinds of plastic bottles. Boats must be registered by 9am-the events kicks off at 10am. Come on by and watch this cool event located on the south side of the Palma Sola Causeway. The wait is over!! The 2017 Beach’N Food Truck Festival is here!! Taking place from 10am-10pm on Coquina Beach on Anna Maria Island. Live bands, a HUGE classic car show, arts and crafts, a kids zone and of course the FOOD Trucks!!! There will be some on-site parking but guests are encourage to park elsewhere and ride the free trolley straight to the festival!
Siesta Beach will be hosting the 8th Annual Fiesta on Siesta College Sand Volleyball Tournament this weekend! Over 25 schools from all over the sunshine state will be competing. For a full schedule and more information visit: https://www.fiestaonsiestakey.com/
15th Annual Downtown Sarasota Art and Craft Festival will also be taking place this weekend from 10-5pm on Central Avenue. Free admission gets you in to peruse all the amazing arts and crafts including jewelry, pottery, ceramics, photography, paintings, clothing and more!
The Sarasota Youth Sailing Club will also be hosting their annual Sail Fest Regatta this weekend at 1717 Ken Thompson Parkway. This nationwide event will have young sailors between 8-21 show off their skills!
Lido Beach will also be hosting its 2nd Annual Spring Fine Art Festival at 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive. Artisans will be on hand selling their creations in sculpture, painting, photography, jewelry, glass, fiber, woodworking as so much more! Saturday and Sunday-10-5pm.
This weekend Team Renick will also be hosting an Open House at 7145 Gulf of Mexico Drive #23 (This property is located super close to the Beach'N Food Truck Festival ....just sayin' ....).
