There are many cool things happening in the area this weekend!  Here are a few we wanted to highlight!

The Suncoast Blue Festival will be taking place Friday-Sunday at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34237.  Tickets are available at the event or online.  This event is helping support Family Promise Sarasota whose mission is to help provide shelter, meals and basic needs for displaced families with minor children.  Bring your tent or RV or just yourselves and enjoy a weekend of music!

St Armand’s Art Festival will be taking place Saturday and Sunday from 10-5pm.  With over 150 artisans showing their works in Painting, Sculpture, Glass, Pottery, Ceramics, Fiber, Jewelry and more, there will most certainly be something for everyone!  This event is free and free parking is available where you can find it!  Be sure to also visit the amazing shops and restaurants on the circle including Michael J. Renick & Co. while you are at the festival.  Stop in a say hi and grab a refreshment.  Can't make it to the festival?  You can always be apart of the action by clicking on our WEBCAM!

Run for Good will be taking place Saturday at Payne Park, 2050 Adams Lane, Sarasota.  The race will offer fun for the whole family including a bounce house, photo booth and face painting.  Pets are welcome and there will be a doggie costume contest will also take place in order to include the furry friends in on the fun. Registration is now open and all participants will receive a shirt and get a free pancake breakfast. Proceeds will benefit local Sarasota Schools.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will hold National Anthem auditions on Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at  McKechnie Field, 1611 9th Street W, Bradenton.  This event is open to anyone interested in singing The Star Spangled Banner prior to a Pirates Spring Training game. Prospective singers will perform in the order they sign up on the day of auditions. Registration will close at noon.  Interested in singing the Canadian Anthem?  Come on out…you could be selected to sing when the Toronto Blue Jays are in town!
