What’s Happening this weekend in Sarasota, the Beaches and Beyond? (Janury12-14th)
Well now that winter is over (that was a tough few days!!) and we can get back outside and enjoy the fresh air…here are a few fun things going on in the area!
The Sarasota Winter Fine Art Festival is taking place January 14-15 from 10am-5pm in downtown Sarasota. Local artists are joined by fellow artisans from all over the country showcasing their works in painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, glass, ceramics, fiber and wearable art, mixed-media, woodworking and more! This event has been moved this year and will be taking place on Main Street between Orange and Osprey. Admission and parking are FREE!
The Gallery on Siesta Key is also hosting its monthly Gallery Night this Friday from 6-9pm. Local artisans will be on hand to discuss their works and you can also enjoy a libation and hors d'oeuvres!
Holmes Beach will also be hosting an ArtWalk Friday evening from 5:30-7:30 in downtown Holmes Beach. Anna Maria Island Art League, Artists’ Guild of AMI, Island Gallery West, SteamDesigns, Restless Natives, Vintage Beach, and Saltair will all be participating and there will be refreshments and live music so come make an evening of it!
If being out in nature is more your thing, there will be a hike and concert at Oscar Scherer State Park starting at 8:00am. For $10 you can enjoy a nice hike at your own pace and then join in a concert and lunch (youth under 16 are free).
While you are out and about this weekend, don’t forget to stop and support area Farmers Market's and local shops!
Whatever you choose to do, have fun and enjoy the sunshine!
P.S. It's always a good day to Search Area Homes for Sale!
