We've been updating you on the former site of The Colony on Longboat Key for a while now and, slowly but surely, things continue to move toward a final resolution.  A Sarasota judge has recently ruled that the Colony condominium association can and will be terminated.  Unicorp, an Orlando based developer, would like to build a St. Regis hotel on the property.  However, not everyone is on board with that plan, particularly, Andy Adams, who owns one third of the Colony association's condo units and has stalled progress of the project until now.  With the recent ruling, though, it looks like the St. Regis hotel plan is moving forward.  Next up, there will be a court proceeding in April 2020 to decide how compensation will be awarded to the owners of the condo units.  So, we'll have to wait and see what happens then.  For now, though, check out our video below for more details on this latest development!  And for more great content like this, head on over to our YouTube channel and hit SUBSCRIBE!
