Most of us probably know someone who is in real estate, be it a friend or family member.  So when you need an agent to help you buy or sell a home, likely your first instinct is hire who you know.  But, is that necessarily a good idea or the best option?  Maybe not.  When you hire a real estate professional, you want to look for the most qualified person for the job.  He or she will be able to get you the best deal and give you the highest level of customer service.  This might not necessarily be the case with your friend or relative.  Further, if you do hire someone close to you and it doesn't work out, what are your options?  Mike and Mike will discuss this unique topic and share their thoughts on how to handle this situation!
