We've all driven by the old brick Sarasota High School building on U.S. 41 and seen the antique structure as it's stood vacant for years.  Well, that's about to change as it will soon finally become the Sarasota Museum of Art.  Built in 1926, the 57,000 square foot building served as part of the Sarasota High School campus for many years until it closed in 1996.  After sitting vacant for nearly a decade, it was decided in 2003 to turn it into an art museum.  Now, after years of planning and work, the project will finally be completed this summer with an official opening slated for December.  The complex, funded by The Ringling, will feature a modern art museum as well as a continuing education center through a partnership with the Lifelong Learning Academy.  This is sure to be an awesome addition to the vibrant art and culture scene of Sarasota and we can't wait to check it out!  Watch below as Mike and Steve share more!
