The Rosemary District is one of the more eclectic and unique pockets of Sarasota.  With a hip, young feel, the neighborhood has, in the last decade or so, had quite the transformation into a vibrant community for creatives to live, work, and play.  You may remember a few months back, we told you about some changes to the zoning codes for the area which lowered the density cap to 25 units per acre.  Since then, development has slowed significantly, much to the dismay of both residents and city officials alike.  However, a new plan has just been approved that would increase the density cap once again while also incorporating affordable housing and more funding for arts in the neighborhood.  Art is an integral part of the identity of the Rosemary District and in keeping with that spirit five new murals will be installed in the area over the next five months through a collaboration with the Art Impact Initiative, thus continuing to make art accessible to the masses.  This Rosemary District is definitely a spot to keep on your radar and we see big things in it's future.  Check out our video below for more information and to see the area for yourself!  And for more great content like this, head on over to our YouTube channel and hit SUBSCRIBE!
