Holiday Night on St. Armands
Friday | 5:30 p.m.
Crab & Fin Restaurant proudly presents “Holiday Night of Lights." St. Armands is THE holiday destination on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Watch as the Circle magically comes to light and life with grace and elegance. “Holiday Night of Lights” is St. Armands official “kick off” to the holiday season. The event begins with a special performance at 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Join in with our annual Christmas Carol Sing-a-long beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by Santa’s Arrival in his spectacular sleigh and our tree-lighting ceremony. Photos with Santa are available throughout the evening from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Enjoy holiday entertainment, special store promotions and gracious hospitality provided by our many shops and restaurants. We do recommend making your dinner reservations in advance at one of our many fine Circle restaurants. A special evening for the young and young at heart.

Bicycles International Glow Ride and 32 Year Celebration

Join Bicycles International to celebrate 32 years of serving Venice and surrounding areas and for our 4th Annual Glow Ride! Saturday December 8th, 2018. Join the Bicycles International Team Riders on a fun casual 8 mile ride as we light up the Venice Island. Gear up your bikes with front and rear lamps(required), bust out the flair~light up your bike and get ready to ride the streets. (Costumes encouraged!) This is a chance to safely cruise through the Island neighborhoods at night. This event is open to anyone who wants to hit the streets, whether you’ve got a street bike, mountain bike, or a good ole cruiser. Bring the family! This is a fun ride, and is appropriate for any skill level so come ride with us!
33rd Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights

The 33rd Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday December 08, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The best areas for viewing are Marina Jack Restaurant, Bay front Park, City Island and Centennial Park. The Bay front Park spectator viewing area has been expanded to include the entire Northern tip of island near the fountain.
Free Christmas Movie Night

Join us for a FREE family outdoor Christmas Movie Night - feature film is “The Santa Clause”! Free hotdogs, hamburgers, and movie snacks! Bring your own chairs and blankets! Join us in being #FORsarasota as we collect items to care for people in need here in our city. Bring toothbrushes, travel toothpaste and granola bars to meet some of our friends most basic needs!
Sarasota Christmas Glow Run 5K

This fun family friendly festive event features dozens of Christmas decorations at the start and finish line and music that creates an atmosphere that will get your Christmas season started off right! This professionally chip timed night glow run will be a memorable experience like no other. Athletes run or walk the lakeside Christmas themed course at night. Athletes add to the atmosphere with their complimentary glow products that are included with registration. ...and YES, there is 100% chance of pretty snowfall at the finish!
All Shook Up

Take one great Shakespeare story (Twelfth Night) and every great Elvis Presley song and you have the makings of Rock ‘n’ Roll Musical Theatre heaven. So, “Don’t Be Cruel,” grab that “Hound Dog” and “Love Me Tender,” this holiday season. Because, everyone needs a hunka hunka “Burning Love” for Christmas.
Bradenton Farmers’ Market

A place where the community meets each week to enjoy fresh produce, local art, upbeat music, demonstrations by local chefs, and family activities. Parking is free on weekends, and dogs on leashes are always welcome. The market sets up every Saturday on Old Main Street, just north of Manatee Avenue from the first weekend in October to the last week in May.
Manatee River Holiday Boat Parade

The Manatee River Holiday Boat Parade is a staple of the Bradenton/Palmetto holiday calendar. Volunteers sign up to decorate their boats for chances at cash prizes. Spectators are invited to watch the parade from public locations at Regatta Pointe Marina / Riverhouse Reef & Grill, the Green Bridge Fishing Pier, and Twin Dolphin Marina / PIER 22. Bring the whole family to watch beautiful parade boat floats light up the night and the Manatee River!
Manatee Performing Arts Center – Elf The Musical

Santa Clause narrates the story of Buddy, who was raised at the North Pole. Prior to Christmas, Buddy learns he’s human, not an elf. He convinces Santa to let him return to New York City to find his real father. He finds his father (who’s on the naughty list) and a step brother who doesn’t believe in Santa. Buddy decides it’s up to him to bring back the spirit of Christmas to his family and all of New York. Along the way, he discovers friendship, love and his true identity.
Manatee Performing Arts Center – A Christmas Carol

Dickens’ classic story of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge highlights Victorian England’s inequalities of wealth distribution. Visited by the Christmas ghosts of past, present and future, Scrooge sees how his miserly ways have affected his life and the people around him. He realizes there’s still time for him to transform into a generous, kind-hearted man.
