Sights & Sins of Sarasota Trolley Tour

Friday | 9:30 a.m.

You get to choose! A 1.5 hr adventure on the mainland OR staying on-board for the full 3 hr tour including Lido Key & a box lunch picnic! From SRQ Airport to the quaint neighborhoods of Downtown Sarasota to the beautiful gulf views from Lido Key, our professional guides will share with you all that Sarasota has to offer. As you ride along to see the various sites, you will hear details of what there is to see and do in the area, local history, interesting trivia and a few of the ‘Sins’ that happened here. Our air-conditioned trolley will take you to some of the hidden gems that even many locals don’t know about! 3 hr tour includes a box lunch picnic, stops where you can take photos, stretch your legs or use restrooms. We will also have a ‘cool’ surprise for each guest… but if we told you what it is it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it?

31st Annual Downtown Venice Art Festival

Considered one of the best kept secrets in all of Florida, the community of Venice has a number of special surprises awaiting you. Whether you like shopping in the unique stores of the downtown Venice Main Street district or prefer golfing, boating, or other recreational activities, Venice has it all. Settled along West Venice Avenue, the Downtown Venice Art Festival adds to the ambiance of this unique town. More than 100 of the nation's most notable artists will exhibit their work, ranging in mediums from photography to jewelry, paintings to sculpture, ceramics, glass, mixed media and more during this weekend community festival. Day of the Dead Festival

The Village of the Arts presents our most popular Artwalk weekend of the year - the 14th Annual Festival of the Skeletons! Festival of the Skeletons is a celebration of life as we remember our departed loved ones in the tradition of Dia de Los Muertos. Each year the Village of the Arts dedicates a community shrine during the festival to an iconic artist or other public figure.

Manatee Performing Arts Center – Cabaret

It’s the early 1930s in Berlin and life is changing. On the horizon is an ugly and dangerous threat, but that’s no concern for sensational cabaret singer Sally Bowles, whose only goal in life is to have a good time. Sally soon finds herself living with a young writer visiting from America to work on a new novel. While their relationship moves beyond just being friends, around them the lives of citizens go from ordinary to a nightmare. Will Sally recognize her own selfishness or will she look at the ground as the Nazis steamroll over everything she holds dear? Be part of the action with limited on-stage seating!

Bradenton Farmers’ Market

Saturday | 9:00 a.m.

A place where the community meets each week to enjoy fresh produce, local art, upbeat music, demonstrations by local chefs, and family activities. Parking is free on weekends, and dogs on leashes are always welcome. The market sets up every Saturday on Old Main Street, just north of Manatee Avenue from the first weekend in October to the last week in May.

Fall Festival on the Fairways – River Run Golf Links

Saturday | 3:00 p.m.

Free event to introduce River Run to new golfers. Food trucks, beer and music will be available at the event. There will be a 50 yard, 25 yard, chipping and sand trap contests with raffles and prizes given away. The new fad, "Footgolf" will be set up where you will be playing golf with a soccer ball. Come on over and put your feet on our fairways and toes in our sand traps.

Music on Main at Lakewood Ranch

Friday | 6:00 p.m.

Lakewood Ranch presents Music on Main the first Friday of each month from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.! Live music, beer, wine and food available. The Hydramatic will fill the air with stripped down Soul with Soul music and the deejay will keep you dancing with today’s Top 100 hits. Bring your chairs, but leave coolers at home. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a short leash.

Sarasota Boat Expo

Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 a.m.

Check out the Sarasota Boat Expo with new boats, fishing gear and more including a fishing school.

Sandblast Sand-Sculpting Competition

Saturday | 9:00 a.m.

It's the annual "Sandblast" day-long Sand-sculpting competition taking place along the shores of Manatee Public Beach in support of Keep Manatee Beautiful, a group dedicated to litter prevention, beautification and environmental improvement throughout the county. In addition to showcasing the local talent, Sandblast also offers free clinics taught by master sculptors.

17th Annual Ferarri’s at St. Armand’s Circle

Saturday | 10:00 a.m.

The show revs up from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in circle park. Over 75 Ferrari owners will be showing off their rides and competing for the top prize trophy. Free admission.

16th Annual Hispanic Fall Festival

Saturday | 10:00 a.m.

Enjoy the atmosphere of the 16th Annual Hispanic Fall Festival which will feature music, dance, food, culture, a children's playground and fun.

Wild About Nature Festival

Saturday | 11:00 a.m.

The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast's Wild About Nature Festival will feature a wide variety of activities including: animal interactions, a discovery zone, face painting, a chance to try kayaking, hula-hoop lessons, crafts, games and more plus live music and food trucks. Free admission.

Harvest Fall Festival

Saturday | 3:00 p.m.

Enjoy yourself with your family at the Harvest Fall Festival complete with Bounce Houses, Rock Painting (Sarasota Rocks), Mote Marine interactive displays, Live entertainment from Dynasty Dance Studio, Spotlight Theatre and Florida Studio Theatre. Also a marketplace with vendors hand picked and suited for families with children and a free hot dog, snack and drink. Free admission.

Sarasota Medieval Fair

Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 a.m.

It's time for the annual Sarasota Medieval Fair. There's jousting, human combat chess tournaments, rides and games along with food and drinks from turkey legs to hearty ales. There's also Celtic music and the new artisan marketplace with over 100 shops, food, and snack booths plus 11 stages holding over 75 shows daily!

Gulf Coast Cyclefest

Sunday | 6:30 a.m.

It's the 44th annual Sarasota Manatee Bicycle Club’s premier southwest Florida event: Gulf Coast Cycle-fest! Join with other cyclists from around the country as they enjoy new routes through Manatee County. Not a race, it's designed to be a whole family event with routes of 104, 79, 63, 35, or 20 mile distances. Number of riders is limited. Breakfast and lunch provided.
