Sights & Sins of Sarasota Trolley Tour

Friday | 9:30 a.m.

You get to choose! A 1.5 hr adventure on the mainland OR staying on-board for the full 3 hr tour including Lido Key & a box lunch picnic! From SRQ Airport to the quaint neighborhoods of Downtown Sarasota to the beautiful gulf views from Lido Key, our professional guides will share with you all that Sarasota has to offer. As you ride along to see the various sites, you will hear details of what there is to see and do in the area, local history, interesting trivia and a few of the ‘Sins’ that happened here. Our air-conditioned trolley will take you to some of the hidden gems that even many locals don’t know about! 3 hr tour includes a box lunch picnic, stops where you can take photos, stretch your legs or use restrooms. We will also have a ‘cool’ surprise for each guest… but if we told you what it is it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it?

Braveheart Kilt Run 5k

Friday | 5:30 p.m.

Held in conjunction with the third annual Sarasota Celtic Music Festival, this Friday evening 5k race will begin at 5:30p outside the festival and will finish inside the festival right behind the Main Stage in Nathan Benderson Park! You'll be piped in by the sound of Old Scotland on the bagpipes! Award Ceremony will be held at 7:00p on the Main Stage.

BOOFest

Friday | 6:00 p.m.

BOOFest is our annual Halloween event! It's a HOWLING good time for all ages! Come out and explore, watch our local dancers, and enjoy our spooky balloon artist! Have your children bring their Trick or Treat bags to collect the many treats that will be given out from our generous sponsors and merchants. Each year we have a costume contest, so make sure to get creative and dress up!

"Ghosts & Gruesomes" Tour! 8:00 p.m.-9:15 p.m. Are there ghosts in Sarasota? Are there unsolved or intriguing murder cases? Absolutely! Join us on this dark and creepy 75 minute walk to hear what we found out when we went exploring the dark streets of Sarasota at night!

Tee Time for Tots

Saturday 9:00 a.m.

Whether it’s Popeye or Pocahontas, put on a costume, pick up a putter and help raise money for Sarasota’s littlest learners. Hit a howl-in-one at the 3rd annual Tee Time for Tots, a Halloween-themed, family-friendly, mini golf fundraiser benefitting the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County. Each ticket includes one round of miniature golf, a slice of pizza and a beverage. From toddlers and tweens to baby boomers and beyond, this benefit will have something for everyone. In addition to trick or treating at every hole, Tee Time for Tots will feature face-painting, a caricature artist, fun Halloween-themed games and hands-on, sensory table activities. Enjoy story time on a quilt under large oaks trees. While costumes are optional, there will be a costume contest with prizes for all ages. Don’t forget to check out our boo-tiful raffle baskets too!

Garden Music Series

The Garden Music Series at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is proud to present an eclectic variety of local and international musical artists who perform music of nearly every style and musical genre, both vocal and instrumental. From classical pianists to folk, country, latin and world music, jazz and standards to rock and roll, pop and soul, there is something for everyone. Artists often interpret covers of well know songs in addition to performing original material with repertoire that spans the styles and sounds of current hits to the early 20th century. Garden Music Series guests are offered a world-class outdoor concert experience along with beautiful views and relaxing walks through the Gardens.

Bradenton Farmers’ Market

A place where the community meets each week to enjoy fresh produce, local art, upbeat music, demonstrations by local chefs, and family activities. Parking is free on weekends, and dogs on leashes are always welcome. The market sets up every Saturday on Old Main Street, just north of Manatee Avenue from the first weekend in October to the last week in May.

Main Street Live!

Saturday | 5:00 p.m.

Old Main Street will be filled with food trucks, and all the businesses -- including the bars, pubs and restaurants -- along Old Main Street will be open for business as usual. Besides the food trucks, lots of local merchants will be setting up shop along the street for the evening. So you can get some shopping done while you're chowing down, listening to the local live music, and dancing in the street.

KidSpace

KidSpace is a program for kids who want to explore everything there is to know about space and become Masters of the Universe. From 10:15 – 11 am on the second and fourth Saturday morning of each month, we’ll unleash the awesome power of the Bishop Planetarium, taking off from Earth’s surface and flying to places no human has gone before: the Sun, the planets, other moons of our solar system, newly discovered solar systems in our galaxy and beyond. KidSpace is designed for kids in elementary school (grades 1-5), and their grown-ups.

Manatee Performing Arts Center - Cabaret

It’s the early 1930s in Berlin and life is changing. On the horizon is an ugly and dangerous threat, but that’s no concern for sensational cabaret singer Sally Bowles, whose only goal in life is to have a good time. Sally soon finds herself living with a young writer visiting from America to work on a new novel. While their relationship moves beyond just being friends, around them the lives of citizens go from ordinary to a nightmare.
